Each wall of the Sound Cave is itself a musical instrument with its own unique tuning. Installed together they function as one instrument with nine complementary tunings whose metal, strings, and wood can be plucked, hit, scratched, played, sung into and sympathetically resonated to create sounds that run the spectrum from conventional to otherworldly.
The Sound Cave boards have been used for solo, small ensemble, and large orchestral performances. No matter how it is played it always adds an exquisite sound to performances and recordings from rock, jazz, and popular music groups, film soundtracks, and symphonic performances to experimental, noise, and electronica sound projects. The plethora of possibilities are still being discovered.
